Congratulations to The Most Precious of Cargoes by Michel Hazanavicius, which just won the André Martin Award for a Feature Film.

At the Festival national du film d'animation in Rennes, which was held in partnership with the Association française du cinéma d'animation (French Animation Film Association) from 22nd to 27th April 2025, the jury presented the André Martin Award for a Feature Film to the film The Most Precious of Cargoes by Michel Hazanavicius, produced by Agat Films – Ex Nihilo, Les Compagnons du Cinéma, Les Films du Fleuve, STUDIOCANAL and 3.0 Studio.

In particular, the film opened the 2024 Annecy International Animation Film Festival, where it was also competing in the Feature Films Official Selection.

This year, the André Martin Award for a Feature Film jury was composed of:

"From a bird's flight penetrating through the edge of death, to the face of a survivor caught in the reflection of a window, this work is filled with memorable and powerfully evocative images. Its skillful direction and beautiful animation wove a path through the unrepresentable horror of genocide. Set to Jean-Louis Trintignant's dulcet tones, a tale like a pathway to the light, and to life: The Most Precious of Cargoes by Michel Hazanavicius" – The jury members
