Annecy Festival Artistic Director

For over 65 years, Annecy has been a major gathering for the global animation industry. Every June, both the Festival and the Mifa bring together artists, industry professionals, studios, producers and enthusiasts from around the world.
In 2026, 19,100 accredited participants from 118 countries attended the Annecy Festival.

Today, the opening of the Cité internationale du cinéma d’animation further cements animation's year-round presence at the heart of Annecy heralding a brand-new chapter for the Festival. 
After the 2027 edition, Annecy is seeking someone who, alongside the CITIA's CEO, will help to conceive, develop and lead a new artistic vision for the 2028, 2029 and 2030 editions.

Key responsibilities shaping the Festival's future:

• developing the event's artistic vision;
• creating a cutting-edge, open and forward-looking programme;
• fostering cross-cultural dialogue between aesthetics and creative expression from around the world;
• identifying and supporting emerging talent and new generations;
• representing Annecy to artists and leading figures in the film and animation industries, both in France and globally.

Preserving Annecy's identity while envisioning how the Festival will evolve: this will be one of the primary goals of this role.
