Join us in Los Angeles for the 9th edition of the Animation Is Film Festival from 16th to 19th October 2026.
The founding partners of Animation Is Film – GKIDS, Variety and Annecy Festival – are excited to welcome you to the TCL Chinese Theatre in Hollywood for its latest edition.
You can expect to see a range of films that were screened and even awarded at the 2026 Annecy Festival, including:
- The Violinist: Cristal for a Feature Film and SACEM Award for Best Original Soundtrack in a Feature Film
- Paper Trail: Cristal for a Short Film
- Iron Boy: Audience Award for a Feature Film, Gan Foundation Award for Distribution and Jury Award
- Tangles: feature film in the Official category
- Jim Queen: Animated Thrills and Chills special programmes
- Julián: feature film in the Annecy Presents category
- Viva Carmen!: feature film in the Official category
A multitude of directors will be in attendance to present their works. Work-in-progress sessions and special screenings will also feature in the event's programme.
