The world of animation is in mourning.
It is with immense sadness that we have learnt of Eric Bauza's death. He was a truly iconic voice actor, known for breathing life into beloved Looney Tunes characters like Bugs Bunny and Daffy Duck.
During his career, he also lent his voice to Woody Woodpecker, Leonardo in the "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" franchise and Luke Skywalker in the LEGO Star Wars animated productions.
With more than 400 roles to his name, he has touched the lives of several generations of viewers.
We were fortunate to host him at Annecy last June at the Festival's Special Prizes Ceremony, where he presented the Warner Bros. Animation Award for a Graduation Film to Lucas Ansel for his film The 12 Inch Pianist.
His unique talent helped bring a plethora of unforgettable characters to life and spread the magic of animation worldwide.
Our thoughts are with his loved ones and all those with whom he worked.
