Mifa Pitches
Each year, the Mifa Pitches aim to showcase the best original animation film projects in development. Initially in 4 categories — Feature Films, Short Films, TV Series & Specials and Immersive Experience — the Pitches are becoming more elaborate every year. And for Mifa 2025, a new Mifa Pitch session dedicated to animated documentaries will be launched.
These Pitch sessions are a privileged time to discover the universes and sensitivities in their own right, which reflect young international creativity.

Presentation
The Mifa Pitches, whether they are Feature Films, Short Films, TV Series & Specials or Immersive Experience, are designed to reveal the best original animation film projects in development.
With an international dimension, the Mifa Pitches make room for diversity and offer an eclectic selection, whether geographical, artistic, or technical. The selected authors present their projects to an audience of professionals and enthusiasts, in the hope of receiving future support.

Animation du Monde
The Animation du Monde programme was launched in 2015 to showcase creations from territories where animation is just emerging due to lack of industry, funding, or training. The aim of this international initiative is to open up opportunities for everyone, to broaden our horizons and spot exciting new talent, with the Mifa and the Festival as the focal point.
Prizes and Partners
For each Pitch session organised during the Mifa, loyal partners reward authors and their projects through grants, residencies, pre-purchases or technical support. There is one common aim: to contribute to the projects’ development and offer them additional means so they can come to life.

Selection Committees
The Selection Committees are established each year to choose the projects that will be pitched during the Mifa sessions. For each of the categories, European experts from the animation sector discuss the many projects submitted and determine which ones will be presented at Annecy.

Spotlight
The Mifa willingly follows up on the evolution of the animation projects presented during the Pitch sessions and also asks the writers for feedback a few months later concerning the development of the projects presented.
