Submit a project in development

Submissions for the Mifa Pitches 2026 are closed.

The Annecy International Animation Film Market gives its support to the creation of animated films through its Call for Projects. The goal of the forum is to choose the best projects of the year and help them to become a reality.

In June, the teams selected will present their projects to professionals attending the Mifa, including artistic and funding partners who can help get the projects off the ground.

Agenda

  • Until Thursday 22nd January 2026, 11:59 pm (UTC+01:00)
Submit your projects to compete in the Mifa Pitches
  • May 2026
Discover which projects have been selected for the Mifa Pitches
  • June 2026
    Mifa Pitch Sessions
    Mifa Pitches prizewinners

The video pitches will be available for viewing in the Video Library during the Mifa and until 31st December 2026.

Being selected at the Mifa Pitches means:

  • follow up and help from the Mifa team and experts from the world of animation
  • free Mifa accreditation
  • the possibility to present your project to an audience and be noticed by your prospective funders and partners
  • the possibility to get funding for the project by receiving a prize from one of our partners

The Calls for Projects are divided into four categories:

  • Short films
  • Feature films
  • TV series and specials
  • Immersive Experiences

Since the 2025 edition, documentary projects submitted in the Short Films, TV Series and Specials, and Feature Films categories may also apply for the special session dedicated to animated documentaries.

As of this year, there is a fee for submitting a project. The registration fees cover administrative and technical costs. This is a flat rate fee for the entire submission process, regardless of when you submit your project or its category.

Please note that these submission fees are non-refundable. Please read the regulations as well as the terms and conditions of sale carefully before submitting your project and take note of the fees for each category:

  • Short Films: €20 VAT not incl.
  • Feature Films: €40 VAT not incl.
  • Series and TV Specials: €30 VAT not incl.
  • Immersive Experiences: €20 VAT not incl.

As part of the Animation du Monde programme, a reduced rate will be granted to projects from territories where the animation industry is emerging or undergoing development.
