For the 2024 edition, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival has received more than 3,400 films from a hundred countries.
It is with immense sadness that the Festival team learned of the death of Fumi Kitahara on 24th February 2025. She was a renowned publicist in the animation world, a long-standing member of Women in Animation and a figure synonymous with the Annecy Festival.
The Annecy Festival, a deliciously rich and eclectic programme...After announcing the various categories in competition, the Official Selection will include two unmissable programmes the festivalgoers know all too well: the iconoclastic Midnight Specials screenings and the timeless Annecy Classics.

The Festival’s Work in Progress sessions are a unique opportunity to discover the creative stages in animation films that are currently in production, as well as meet their teams and discuss with them about their artistic venture.
