A two-phase mentorship was arranged for the artists: assistance with the script before they arrive, then an on-site mentorship dealing with the project’s graphic choices.

A member from each of the three projects has been hosted in Annecy by CITIA to join this second Annecy Festival Residency from 4 th April to 30 th June 2022 .

For the 2024 edition, the Annecy International Animation Film Festival has already received more than 3,400 films from a hundred countries.

This year, more than 900 project leaders from across the world apply to the Mifa Pitches with the aim of presenting their project to a professional audience at Annecy who are searching for original content.  A tough selection process in all the categories usually gives about 48 projects their opportunity. You can see them each year at the Mifa during the 4 Pitch sessions, specific to each format.  An exclusive myriad of the current creations to allow you to be the first to position yourself on tomorrow’s projects!

The Demo Sessions put a spotlight on innovation and are the chance for professionals to present exclusive new software, revolutionary apps, or pipelines.

Marvel at the Animation du Monde labelled projects, extraordinary little gems that will seduce you with their authentic stories, their unique hand, or their authors’ fearlessness and merit. A label that wants to be inclusive so that animation has no boundaries! Submissions for the 2026 Mifa Pitches are closed.
