This year, more than 700 project leaders from across the world apply to the Mifa Pitches with the aim of presenting their project to a professional audience at Annecy who are searching for original content.A tough selection process in all the categories usually gives about 40 projects their opportunity. Through the generous support of both its official and grant partners, every year, the Mifa has the great pleasure of seeing numerous projects receive an important boost to their development.
Each year, the Mifa Pitches aim to showcase the best original animation film projects in development. Initially in 4 categories — Feature Films, Short Films, TV Series & Specials and Immersive Experience — the Pitches are becoming more elaborate every year. And for Mifa 2025, a new Mifa Pitch session dedicated to animated documentaries will be launched.
