For the 2025 edition, the Annecy Festival is paying tribute to Hungarian animation, whose influence has been steadily growing in Europe since the 20 th century.

A long-standing tradition at the Annecy Festival is to pay tribute to great names in animation. Each year, the Festival is the perfect opportunity to celebrate prestigious guests by showcasing their works or by presenting them with an award.

The Festival is fast approaching, so you must be excited to learn more about it! To give you a taster, we reveal the creations that will form the visual identity and give the mood for this year's edition!  The traditional official poster, a teaser of this year's Partners' trailer produced by a very prestigious production company, and the opening credits by students from GOBELINS Paris. An entire programme promising a vibrant and animated Festival!

From 8 th to 14 th June, the Annecy Festival is putting a spotlight on Hungarian animation, an often-overlooked rich and inventive cinematic patrimony. Hungary stands out as an authentic source of artistic and creative expression from Pannónia Studio's legacy to today's contemporary creations.

From 10 th to 13 th June 2025, the International Animation Film Market celebrates its 40 th anniversary! Four decades of supporting the global animation film ecosystem and building its future together!  Join us and celebrate this anniversary in grand style!

From 9 th to 15 th June, the Annecy Festival is putting Portuguese animation centre stage!  With a Berlin ball (Bola de berlim), a glass of sumo and a few vira dance moves you’ll be ready to celebrate Portugal in style!

This year, more than 880 project leaders from across the world apply to the Mifa Pitches with the aim of presenting their project to a professional audience at Annecy who are searching for original content. A tough selection process in all the categories usually gives about 40 projects their opportunity. You can see them each year at the Mifa during the 4 Pitch sessions, specific to each format. An exclusive myriad of the current creations to allow you to be the first to position yourself on tomorrow’s projects! Check out the 2026 Mifa Pitches programme

Concerned about current issues and our impacts, we are constantly examining the way we design, produce and run our event, with an aim for ongoing improvement, to prepare for the future with commitment and to generate a more virtuous and sustainable ecosystem.

The Annecy Festival and the Mifa recruit several hundred volunteers to complete our teams and greet the many badgeholders present. You can also take a look at the internships and job offers .
