The 2024-2025 International Mifa Campus supported some of the world's finest emerging animation talent from the Island of Syros all the way to Madagascar stopping off at the Andean countries and India.
The curtain rises on the 5th edition's mentorship: Alain Gagnol, Anita Doron, Aurélien Prédal, Jules Bonnassieux, Reza Riahi and Sébastien Tavel. Vitality and rigour are on the menu!
The Annecy International Animation Film Festival, which takes place from 8th to 14th June, has announced its competitive selections over the past few weeks: Short Films, Graduation Films, and followed by the TV and Commissioned Films the day before yesterday.In all, a grand total of 182 works in competition have been revealed, coming from 54 countries and 45% directed by women.
Maya, Give Me Another Title will be screened in the Official Selection.
It looks like the 5th edition is going to be really promising with 3 new shortlisted projects!
During the Animasyros International Animation Festival in Greece, Annecy Festival organised a new International Mifa Campus – Talents workshop.
As part of its programme to promote visual arts education and creative animation in the Andean countries (Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru and Venezuela), Mifa is putting its network and expertise to good use to support new talent at three International Mifa Campus events in South America.
With the support of the Région Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, the Département de la Haute-Savoie, the Drac Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and the CNC, CITIA, organiser of the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, supports creation through a residency for animation feature film graphic development.
