Animation Is Film Festival (AIF) returns to Los Angeles for its 8th edition, from 17th to 19th October 2025.
The founding partners of Animation Is Film – GKIDS, Variety and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival – are thrilled to announce the festival’s return to the TLC Chinese Theatre in Hollywood!
AIF programme includes many of the Annecy 2025 award-winning feature films – Arco by Ugo Bienvenu, which won this year's Cristal for a Feature Film, Jury Award ChaO by Yasuhiro Aoki, and Audience Award Little Amélie or the Character of Rain by Maïlys Vallade and Liane-Cho Han.
Other films also screened at Annecy will round out the programme, such as I Am Frankelda, Lesbian Space Princess, and the short films from "Best of Annecy 2025: Spotlight on Women Directors", a selection presented by Women in Animation and Annecy Festival.
