AJ, a shy teenager, meets Kristen when they are at high school in Los Angeles. Kristen is an avid surfer and the most incredible person AJ’s ever met. He falls madly in love with her. While AJ’s life seems to take off, Kristen is struck down by an illness. Together, they fight adversity helped by their passion for surfing, the ocean, and their group of friends. Love and friendship form the most powerful wave of all.
