Christophe, the 10-year-old son of a farmer, has problems with his balance, possibly due to his bitter, neglectful father. Christophe is stuck in an orthopaedic brace. The boy must create a new life for himself, away from his family and their farm, which is facing forced modernisation and threatened by bankruptcy. Christophe is confronted with a dilemma: should he carve his own path or attempt to reconnect with his father?
