This is the first animated feature from Director Harald Zwart (The Karate Kid, The Mortal Instruments, Agent Cody Banks, The Pink Panther 2) and Producer Veslemøy Ruud Zwart (The 12th Man, Troll), created under their banner Zwart Arbeid. With voices by Ella Purnell, Rita Ora and Alan Carr, the film brings a playful, cinematic energy to a story grounded in real places, history, and mythology.It follows two young Vikings who set sail to return a Chinese stowaway to his home – an adventure that takes them far beyond the world they know. Along the way, what begins as a bold mission turns into something more personal, as they start to see their own culture through new eyes. The stories they've grown up with don't quite hold up, and the idea that "everybody loves Vikings" begins to unravel. ViQueens balances humor and spectacle with a coming-of-age story about perspective, identity, and change. It's about realizing that you're not bound by the past – and that you can choose a different way forward. As the Emperor puts it: "Every generation is a new beginning."
