Several days after a thrilling week and the end of the Festival and Mifa, here are some figures and highlights from this action-packed edition! Once again, the world capital of animation film was buzzing to the beat of this art form that brings us all together.

This year we've once again set a new all-time record with 19,100 accredited attendees, including 7,180 Mifa, from across the world. You could really feel the electricity and energy during the screenings, conferences, panel discussions, meetings and festivities!

Like every year, the Annecy Festival showcased major international talent and screened over 145 films in the official selection. But this year's edition was also memorable for the official opening of the Cité internationale du cinéma d’animation. This globally unique venue has established itself as Annecy's new must-visit destination.

A host of high-profile guests attended throughout the week:
Alfonso Cuarón, Audrey Tautou, Brad Bird, Émilie Tronche, Florence Miailhe, Guillermo del Toro, Michel Ocelot, Mike Judge, Nick Park, Peter Lord, Ricky Gervais, S.S. Rajamouli...

Meanwhile, at the Film Market – which also saw record attendance – events centred on new themes. Another highlight was a day dedicated to Europe, with the first Annecy European Animation Summit, featuring – for the first time at the Mifa – a visit by a European Commissioner. Stéphane Séjourné, Executive Vice-President of the European Commission, travelled to Annecy for the opening of the International Animation Film Market.
