Come and discover the projects and programs sought by ZDF.

What is your editorial strategy?

As a public channel, we’d like to offer high-profile programming in all genres (animation, live-action, entertainment and documentaries). The target: preschoolers and 6-12-year-olds. The channels: ZDF and KiKA linear and digital. The program in our fictional branch: fresh, funny, charming and touching in look, feel and storytelling. Modern classics are appreciated. Our best working animated shows are: Robin Hood, Mia and Me, Zoom, Lassie, Bibi Blocksberg, Vicky the Viking, Maya, the Bee, Pettson and Findus, Henrietta, Little Friend Connie, – just to name a few. Elaborated half-hour specials like Gruffalo, Zog, Shooom’s Odyssee are still going strong for Xmas and New Year's Eve. Features like Niko & the Way to the Stars complete our holiday programming.

What type of projects/programs are you looking for?

High-profile programming for preschoolers and 6-12-year-old children. A variety of formats are possible: 26 x 26', 52 x 12’; 5’er and 7’er are more difficult to schedule, but also possible to show. New shows have to fit into our portfolio, as described above. In addition to that, we’d like to find programs which feature socially relevant topics, like The Long, Long Holidays. Already committed and very promising are our new shows: Pinocchio, Runes and Tobie Lolness.
