Real-Time Animation Production: Artist Tools and Pipelines

This session dives into how 3D artists can achieve their creative vision with tools from Unity, looking at the latest Unity demo, Enemies.

It explores how the demo’s creators produced real-time VFX with ray tracing, which allows it to run at 4K with realistic image quality.

The second half of the presentation follows the production path of The Pack’s feature animated film Journey to Yourland, made with Unity using an additional VFX system called SYNK.

SYNK enables The Pack to manage commercial series animation and game production, with the Unity platform at the core of the pipeline to facilitate assets to flow freely between end-target media.
