Mechanic, self-taught, and the first Nigerien film director and African animation film director, Moustapha Alassane is said to be born in 1940 in N’Dougou, Niger. His adventure takes us to the days of pre-cinema, magic lantern shows and Chinese shadow puppets. An adventurous and fascinating journey through his freedom of experimentation and extraordinary open-mindedness facing the challenge and reinvention of cinema on African soil.
