  3. Fact Sheet

Before you go see the world premiere of world-famous car Lightning’s latest adventures, come and (re)watch Pixar’s original blockbuster in the hit series.

Come and join the gang of anthropomorphic automobiles in the multi-award-winning Cars, Pixar Animation Studio’s seventh feature, released in 2006 and co-produced by Walt Disney Pictures.

Winner of the 2007 Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film, directed by John Lasseter (the mastermind behind hits like Finding Dory (2016) and the Toy Story saga), Cars beholds a clever mix of humour, creativity and technical prowess.

Lightning is a young race car champion with plenty of promise, but he’s a hot-shot with one thing on his mind: winning. On his way to the prestigious Piston Cup race, he gets stranded in a desert after an unfortunate accident. He finds himself in a town just off of Route 66 called Radiator Springs, where he meets Sally, a classy Porsche, and Mater, a rusty but trusty tow truck. Thanks to his new pals, Lightning discovers that friendship, the roads travelled and the journeys along the way are much more important than crossing the finish line.

Come and take a ride on this unforgettable road trip across America!
