The winner of the Cristal for best feature film and the Audience award in 2010, Wes Anderson's first animation film didn't exactly go unnoticed at the Festival.
And with good reason...

Is it possible for a fox to resist his animal instincts?
Mr Fox will find out. Since becoming head of his family, his wife has asked him to stop stealing and earn his living less dangerously.
For 12 years he resists temptation until his peaceful life starts to get him down.
One night, he risks a "little" misdemeanor, which costs both him and the entire animal community.
Fat Boggis, short Bunce and cantankerous Bean, three rich farmers, launch a merciless hunt against this pretentious chicken thief...
Wes Anderson began shooting the feature film, a loose adaptation of Roald Dhal's Fantastic Mr. Fox written in the 90s, in 2008.
After immersing himself in the author's world by living in his home, along with his manuscripts, he opted for a puppet animation, filmed in stop motion. The director of The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Darjeeling Limited was inspired by the animal furs used in the King Kong of 1933, the hairs in constant movement giving a surprising impression of life.
For further realism, the dialogue was recorded in open air, dragging George Clooney and Meryl Streep, as Mr and Mrs Fox, into barns and fields.
We never grow tired of following the fantastic adventures of this imaginative fox capable of wriggling out of any situation!
