An exceptional year, rich in premieres and personalities!

With a record number of 8,250 visitors at the event, this 39^th International Animation Film Festival screened close to 500 films from 83 countries that poetically focused on current topics like immigration, exile or human rights.

To complement this varied selection of films, many international personalities also came to meet up with professionals and animation fans. There were too many to count but Genndy Tartakovsky, Chris Meledandri, Jacques Tardi (April and the Extraordinary World), Richard Williams, Roger Allers and Pierre Coffin and his world-famous Minions were all in attendance.

The winners of the 17 awards for Annecy 2016 were revealed on Saturday night in the Grande salle of the Bonlieu theatre and chosen by a panel of juries exclusively made up of women.

In short, it was an extraordinarily animated week for all who participated in this unparalleled international gathering.

We're already looking forward to seeing you again next year for the 40^th Annecy Festival from 13^th to 18^th June 2016.
