This year, three projects Piece (Alan Holly, Ireland), Heirloom (Upamanyu Bhattacharyya, India) and Le Cœur à danser (Pierre Le Couviour and Amine El Ouarti, France) were assisted between April and June during the Annecy Festival Residency.
The project is renewed for 2022. In April, the Annecy Festival Residency will once again host the project leaders of the 3 next animation feature film projects at the Papeteries – Image Factory. For 3 months, they will benefit from a working environment conducive to exploration, a tailor-made mentor, and assistance from the CITIA teams to be able to develop their films’ graphic universe.
Thereby, the Annecy Festival and the Mifa continue their support for animated feature film by providing a time and place for creation, networking, visibility and project monitoring during and after the current edition.
Project leaders who meet the conditions for participation can now submit their application. Registration will close on 10th September 2021.
Calendar:
- Registrations open: 10th June 2021
- Registrations close: 10th September 2021
- Selection announcement: beginning of November 2021
- Residency: 4th April to 30th June 2022
