Mifa Animation Industry Award: women still honoured at Annecy!
An organisation given award for the first time! The Festival decided in 2015 to put women at the top of the bill, with an entirely female jury, and the design of the official poster was done by a woman. In 2016, Michèle Lemieux created the poster and 7 of the 12 members of the jury were women. In 2017, Mifa hosted the first international meeting between women in animation. Keen to do even more, Mifa have also decided to award the Mifa Animation Industry Award to a symbolic organisation – Women in Animation – as the world of animation works together with women.
